Culture tour – Germany
Hamburg
„Hamburg’s maritime flair surprises me every time I’m there. The Elbe canals, “Harbor City”, the harbor itself or the fish market are so unique. Countless musicals, a vivid night life or just strolling along the Binnenalster make Hamburg so relaxing. As I’m into classical music I try to get tickets in the futuristic concert hall Elbphilharmonie. Hotel The Fontenay gives me the possibility to relax in the nearby park or walk down to the Außenalster.“

Berlin
„Berlin, the capital of Germany and by far the biggest city in the country is full of history, sights, museums, or exciting architecture. The city was until 1989 divided into the communistic east and a democratic west part. At some points it is still visible and makes Berlin so unique. My “need to do things” in Berlin are the Museum Island to see the altar of Pergamon, the Ishtar gate and the bust of the Egyptian Queen Nofretete and – more modern – the East Side Gallery, which is the artistic designed part of the Berlin wall. Hotel Adlon Kempinski.„

Dresden
„Dresden, the baroque architectural gem of Eastern Germany at Elbe River has so many cultural events to offer. Surely the top venue is Semper Opera, one of the most splendid theaters in the world, where the Saxony State Orchestra and Ballet perform daily. I accidentally witnessed the international Dixi music festival which happens every May in Dresden and was completely astonished what outstanding artist were present. My first choice when I stay over in Dresden is Hotel Taschenberg Palais.“
