AUSTRIA

Stunning Nature Tours

Austria is full of wondrous and impressive landscapes that have evolved over millions of years. Subject to wind, weather and the laws of nature, bizarre rock formations, perfectly round lakes and deep gorges have emerged. Because of that, it is a perfect destination for nature lovers.

Ice Giant World

„The Ice Giant World is an adventure, where you can experience an ice cave. There are only a few of the in the world. Sir David Attenborough titled these caves a “great natural wonder of the world”. On this one hour walk you will find plenty of stairs up and down and it won’t be easy but to whoever I speak afterward they all say it was unique and absolutely worthwhile.
As a treat I suggest staying at the close by luxury Hotel Kempinski Berchtesgaden.“

Ötztal

The area Ötztal in the Austrian Alps is not only well know because of the James Bond movie “Spectre” but also because of the archaic waterfalls in Längenfeld. With almost 500 ft the highest in Tyrol. For me the most spectacular part of this hike up to the top is the 240 ft long hanging bridge and the viewing platform. It is especially in the wintertime an extraordinary experience.
The perfect overnight stay is the Hotel Aquadome, which is ideally located in the middle of a unique bathing area.

Großglockner

What was once reserved for experienced mountaineers only, has been an experience for young and old since the construction of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road in 1935. Much has changed since the opening. The road became wider, safer and more comfortable but it still offers 48 kilometers of incomparable driving pleasure. Exhibitions and museums, huts and mountain inns, visitor centers and information points focus on the diverse mountain world with its fauna and flora in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
